Lyrics

Simple Things
Verse
I’d like to do some great deed
For which God would exclaim,
Well done thou good and faithful son,
All heaven knows thy name.
I’d like to do great miracles
like parting the Dead Sea .
Or when David fought Goliath, To defeat the enemy
Chorus.
Yet, I sometimes think the things I’ve done ,
don’t amount to a hill of beans.
cause the only good that I’ve done
is small , and simple things .
I’ve done nothing worthy of meeting kings or queens
Yet the greatest lessons taught to me were small, and simple things
Verse
My teacher gave a compliment,
mom read us God's word everyday,
Someone left food on our porch
And Dad had the family pray ,
I never saw great miracles
Like parting the sea
And though I’ve done nothing great those Small and simple things , changed me
Chorus,
I sometimes think the things I’ve done, don’t amount to a hill of beans.
Cause the only good I’ve done , is small ,and simple things.
I've done nothing worthy of meeting kings or queens,
Yet the greatest lessons taught to me were small ,and simple things
Bridge,
Care for the sick, feed the poor ,
Helping someone with a chore
A kind word here, A smile there For another say a prayer , Show you care.
Added up these small things Bring us blessings that will last . And By small and simple things are great things ,brought to pass
Chorus
Now I know the things I’ve done ,
are worth more than a hill of beans I’m glad the only good I've done,
is small , and simple things
The sum of which is great to the king of kings .
The best thing we can do in life,
is small , and simple things.
yes, the best thing we can do in life, is small a
and simple things
